Cllr. Shirley Quinn – Local Authority Governor
Hello. I am Councillor Shirley Quinn. I am an elected Councillor for Shildon Town Council and Durham County Council. I was a previous pupil of this school in the 1970s, having many happy memories and a good start to my education. I am a frequent visitor to the school, sharing my pride in all the children, who are always polite, eager to learn and achieve many awards. I have worked in the catering trade, management of staff in the emergency alarm service, and in the care of the elderly. I currently work in a local nursing home. My aspiration is for all children to achieve the very best that they can. I will promote a belief of reaching for the stars as well as helping to make Shildon a great place to learn, live, play and work.
